Motion Filed to Arrest Catholicos's Brother and Nephew

A motion has been submitted to the court to arrest the Catholicos's brother and nephew. The lawyer has published a video and stated that there are no grounds to apply a measure of restraint against the said individuals.
"The investigative body has submitted a motion to the Armavir region's court of general jurisdiction of the first instance (Judge Artak Babakhanyan) to arrest 68-year-old Gevorg Nersisyan and his son, Hambardzum Nersisyan. The hearing will begin in a short while. The investigative body and the prosecutor's office have made their decision and pursued criminal prosecution against people based on the testimony of one person. They have not taken into account the testimonies of the Nersisyans and the video recording," wrote lawyer Ara Zohrabyan.
"The incident happened as follows: Hambardzum was standing in front of his house gate around 14:40 on November 1, when a man approached him and suggested he participate in the 'Republic' party's 16:00 meeting. Hambardzum refused, the said person tried to persuade him, they talked, then Hambardzum's father, Gevorg Nersisyan, approached, the three of them talked and parted peacefully.
All of this is on video. You can see for yourselves that there is no conflict in the video. This meeting took place in front of the Nersisyans' house, earlier than the 'Republic' party's pre-election meeting," the lawyer noted.
