Mother harmed young children and tried to set the house on fire.

An extraordinary incident has occurred in Yerevan. On July 13, around 06:40, a call was received by the 911 National Crisis Management Center of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, stating that a citizen in a house in one of the Arin Berd alleys wanted to commit suicide, also threatening to harm the children with a knife.

According to Shamshyan.com, one fire-rescue squad from Yerevan's 3rd Fire-Rescue Detachment and a rescue psychologist arrived at the scene. It turned out that the resident of the said house, 36-year-old Anahit S., had tried to commit suicide by harming herself and had set the house on fire. Before the firefighters' arrival, citizens were able to extinguish the fire.

3 and 5-year-old children were taken to "Surb Astvatsamayr" MC; they had received injuries from a sharp cutting-piercing object and had burns on some parts of their bodies. The children were provided with medical assistance. They were transferred to the National Center of Burns.
