Modi Meets with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi

The Prime Minister of India has met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, Wang Yi. The parties discussed the development of bilateral relations. According to Modi's statement, the visit of the head of Chinese diplomacy was a continuation of the dialogue that began last year at the level of leaders in Kazan.

The Prime Minister of India described the meeting as constructive and emphasized that after his talks with the President of the PRC, Xi Jinping, relations between New Delhi and Beijing are "developing steadily" based on mutual respect and taking into account each other's interests.

"I look forward to the continuation of the dialogue at the SCO summit in Tianjin," he said, expressing confidence that predictable and stable relations between the two largest countries in Asia will contribute to peace and prosperity in the region and the world.
