Mirzoyan: Ready to Sign Treaty, But Disagreement on Constitution Remains

"We are ready to start consultations with the Azerbaijani side as soon as possible, right at this moment, about where and when the treaty will be signed." Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated this during a briefing with journalists, adding that there are still many components that are being discussed and negotiated in parallel.
Among them are border demarcation and delimitation, and the joint Armenian-American work within the framework of TRIPP. Ararat Mirzoyan recalled that it started much earlier:
"It has been 12 km and more, there is an understanding of how it continues. As for the infrastructure, today we are working with the American side on the implementation of TRIPP. When the legal-contractual components are ready, we will start the construction. These are processes that are running in parallel," the minister said, noting that, nevertheless, there are things they cannot agree on.
"They think that we should change the Constitution, after which they will sign; we think that there is no problem in our Constitution. We can present the same claim to their constitution. We do not have a mutual understanding here," Ararat Mirzoyan did not hide.
