Mirzoyan, Georgian Speaker Discuss Strategic Partnership

RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, the head of the Armenia-Georgia friendship group from the Georgian side, Giorgi Volski, the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, Nikoloz Samkharadze, and members of the friendship group.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed issues of developing the bilateral partnership between Armenia and Georgia, also touching upon the initiatives between the legislative bodies in that direction. The importance of the continuous strengthening of inter-parliamentary ties was emphasized by both sides for the benefit of friendship between the two peoples and the promotion of agendas of common interest.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Shalva Papuashvili stressed the importance of the declaration on the establishment of a strategic partnership between Armenia and Georgia as an expression of both the existing cooperation and an important basis for ensuring further practical results.
Referring to the results of the trilateral meeting held in Washington in August 2025, Ararat Mirzoyan expressed confidence that the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the full unblocking of transport communications will contribute to the transformation of the region into an effective transit and logistics hub.
