Mirzoyan Attends Transatlantic Dinner Hosted by Rubio

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan participated in the Transatlantic Dinner organized by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The US State Department website informs that the Transatlantic Dinner was attended by the foreign ministers of the European Union and NATO countries, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, the head of European Union diplomacy Kaja Kallas, and the foreign ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Switzerland, and Ukraine.
Rubio emphasized the importance of the Transatlantic partnership in maintaining peace and achieving prosperity, the historic commitment of NATO member states to increase defense spending to strengthen deterrence mechanisms, and the importance of continued diplomatic engagement to end the Russia-Ukraine war.
The US Secretary of State also spoke about China's influence, noting the need to counter it, and highlighted the importance of cooperation to achieve stability in the Middle East, including ensuring that Iran can never obtain or create a nuclear weapon.
Separate reference was also made to the Armenian-Azerbaijani topic. The US Secretary of State stressed the contribution of US President Donald Trump in putting Armenia and Azerbaijan on the path to lasting peace.
