On October 3, the "Mining Armenia Forum 2025" opened in Tsaghkadzor, with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan also in attendance.
The theme for this year's event, held for the second time, is "Mining and Energy: International Trends and Armenia's Potential." The event will continue on October 4 and will bring together leading industry specialists and stakeholders. Participants will discuss the fundamental challenges facing Armenia's mining industry, assess its potential within the overall economic environment, particularly in relation to the energy sector, and also discuss modern approaches to sustainable development and the introduction of innovative solutions in the field.
The "Mining Armenia" forum, being the largest and most influential professional platform, will unite the main players in the sector to discuss strategic priorities, shape prospects for sustainable development, and expand new opportunities for cooperation.
In his opening speech, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia emphasized the role of the mining industry in all aspects of life in the RA, from the economy to the social sector. He also spoke about the problems that the state has identified and will try to regulate in such a way that businesses do not face unnecessary difficulties when working in a regulated field.
Pashinyan also spoke about the prospect of unblocking regional infrastructure, expressing confidence that the mining industry will also significantly benefit from this by gaining new logistical opportunities for exports. Nikol Pashinyan considers the goal not simply to be the extraction of ore, but the production and export of a product that has been processed to some extent.
