R.H., who held the position of chief of staff-deputy commander of military unit N, during the declared martial law [in 2020], with the intention of evading the performance of his duties arising from his position during combat operations, decided to cease performing his military service duties by simulating illness.
The Investigative Committee reports this. R.H., without informing the superior command, went to a military hospital, where he presented data that did not correspond to reality, as well as complaints that did not actually exist, as a result of which he was admitted for inpatient treatment with a preliminary diagnosis from November 3 to 16.
A public criminal prosecution has been initiated against R.H., and the criminal proceeding with an indictment has been sent to the supervising prosecutor with a motion to confirm it and send it to the court for substantive examination.
