Grandmasters Hayk Martirosyan and Gabriel Sargissian have advanced to the second round of the 2025 FIDE Chess World Cup.

Gabriel Sargissian achieved a 1.5:0.5 victory over International Master Ranindu Dilshan Liyanage from Sri Lanka.

Hayk Martirosyan secured a 1.5:0.5 win against FIDE Master Satria Duta Cahaya from Indonesia.

Grandmaster Karen Grigoryan finished his match with a 1:1 score against Grandmaster Ahmed Adly from Egypt. The winner will be determined in a rapid chess tie-break.

Grandmaster Robert Hovhannisyan ended his match with a 1:1 score against FIDE Master Mohan Havin from Malaysia. In this case as well, the winner will be decided in a tie-break
