The night of November 25 in the zone of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict was marked by a sharp and unprecedented activation of military operations. Both sides carried out large-scale air attacks, covering a wide geography from the capital of Ukraine to the southern regions of Russia. Hundreds of attack unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles were used, which led to human casualties, numerous injuries, and serious infrastructure destruction.
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched a massive missile and drone attack on Kyiv and the Kyiv region during the night. According to the Ukrainian side, there is at least one victim as a result of the strikes. Seven civilians were injured, two of whom were hospitalized. The destruction is most significant in several parts of the capital. In the Dniprovskyi district, a fire broke out in a nine-story building due to a direct drone hit. The situation was extremely tense in the Pecherskyi district, where several floors of a 22-story residential building partially collapsed and caught fire, requiring the evacuation of residents. Strikes on energy infrastructure were also recorded in the Kyiv region.
The night was no less severe for the Russian side. The southern regions of Russia were subjected to a large-scale attack by the Ukrainian armed forces. The head of the Krasnodar Krai, Veniamin Kondratyev, reported that this was one of the longest and most massive attacks on the region. Six people were injured here, and about 20 residential houses were damaged in five municipalities. A forest area burned near Gelendzhik, and a truck in Novorossiysk.
A more tragic picture was recorded in the city of Taganrog in the Rostov region, where the Ukrainian attack led to human losses. According to Rostov Governor Yuri Slyusar, three people died as a result of the attack. Two of them died in the hospital after receiving medical assistance, while the circumstances of the third death are still being clarified. In addition, more than ten residents received bodily injuries of varying degrees, eight of whom were hospitalized.
Taganrog Mayor Svetlana Kambulova reported on the damage to civilian infrastructure. The strikes damaged two multi-apartment buildings, a private house, two industrial enterprises, and, most painfully, a kindergarten building.
The potential target of the attack has come to the attention of military experts. According to the Supernova+ monitoring project, the strike was aimed at the Beriev Aircraft Company in Taganrog. According to preliminary information, an A-60 laboratory aircraft caught fire as a result of the attack, which could be considered a serious loss for the military-industrial sector.
In total, the Ministry of Defense of Russia issued a statement, noting that a record 249 unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down over the territory of the Russian Federation during the night by air defense means, which testifies to the unprecedented intensity of this stage of the conflict.
