Magnetic Storms Approach Earth After Major Solar Flare

Weak magnetic storms and strong solar flares are expected on Earth on November 10. This was reported by the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

"A significant probability of new, strong flares remains, with high risks for Earth," scientists noted, adding that more than 10 flares have occurred on the Sun in the last day.

Meanwhile, Mikhail Leus, a leading specialist at the "Phobos" weather center, reported that more powerful magnetic storms will cover the Earth as early as Tuesday. According to him, a "more powerful cloud of solar matter" will reach the planet, which was caused by a flare of the maximum possible level, X1.7, recorded on the Sun last Sunday.
