120,000 Sign Petition for Macron's Resignation in France

A petition demanding the resignation of French President Emmanuel Macron has already gathered more than 120,000 signatures. The initiative, posted on the website of the French Parliament, criticizes President Macron for "strengthening authoritarianism" and for "dangerously drawing the country into the Ukrainian conflict." The author of the petition, Thibault Magnien, accuses Macron of "dangerous international commitments." In his conviction, Emmanuel Macron's statements regarding Russia and Ukraine will lead to an escalation. The authors of the initiative do not rule out that in such a case, France could be drawn into a large-scale confrontation.
