Levon Kocharyan on Opposition Unity Strategy

During the court hearing on the case of Archbishop Bagrat and others, Levon Kocharyan, a member of the "Hayastan" faction, told reporters in the courtyard that there is no sense or purpose in it.

"Although the goal is one—to remove the current authorities—it does not mean that everyone should unite in a single pre-election list," Kocharyan noted.

"It is necessary to unite, to form large blocs. It would be right for smaller parties with lower ratings to unite; it would be wrong to participate separately," he said.
