Lawyer Aleksandr Kochubaev Arrested for 2 Months

Lawyer Aleksandr Kochubaev has been arrested for a period of 2 months. The Investigative Committee reports that during the pre-trial investigation of the criminal proceedings, a public criminal prosecution has been initiated against one person under Article 490, Part 2 of the Criminal Code.

This includes publishing discrediting information about a judge, prosecutor, or investigator, or information causing other harm to the rights and legitimate interests of said persons, in connection with their legal official or professional activities.

It is recalled that Kochubaev was detained from the courtroom on the evening of October 16. He was arrested, and a motion for detention was submitted to the court.
