Lavrov: Moscow Ready for Any Format of Ukraine Talks

Moscow is ready for any format for a settlement on the Ukraine issue, including bilateral or trilateral formats. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov in an interview with the "Rossiya-24" TV channel. Russia "never had the goal of seizing Crimea, Donbas, or Novorossiya," and the main task was "the protection of the Russian people," Lavrov stated.

The Russian Foreign Minister also commented on the Russia-US summit held in Anchorage, noting that there was a good atmosphere there. According to him, US President Trump and his team after the summit "began to show a much deeper approach to the settlement of the Ukrainian issue."
