Gas Truck Buildup on Georgia Border Will Be Resolved: Papoyan

15 JUL 2025 06:16
RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan wrote on his Facebook page: "On July 14 alone, 44 trucks loaded with liquefied gas entered Armenia from Georgia," Papoyan noted, emphasizing that the ministry is working to resolve the issue.
Earlier, media outlets had reported that Armenian gas trucks en route from Russia to Armenia have been held up for several days at the Stepantsminda-Lars Georgian customs registration point.
According to the drivers, the Georgian side had tightened controls: all vehicles underwent X-ray inspection, after which the drivers' documents were confiscated without explanation.
As a result of the supply delays, the price of liquefied gas in Armenia has risen by about 50 AMD.
