Large Asteroid to Pass by Earth on Sept. 18

One of the largest asteroids of this year will pass by Earth on September 18. This was reported by the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The average size of the body is 166 meters, its length is 290 meters, and its mass is approximately 1,000 times greater than the mass of the Chelyabinsk meteor.

According to the simulated image, the giant asteroid will cross Earth's orbit at a fairly close distance. But this time, too, no collision is predicted.
