Russian Strikes Damage EU, British Council Offices in Kyiv

As a result of the attacks by Russian forces on the night of August 27-28, the British Council office in Kyiv was damaged. The administration reported that it will remain closed to visitors until further notice.

Earlier, on the morning of August 28, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Sybiha, reported damage to the building of the EU Delegation in Kyiv as a result of Russian strikes. The EU has summoned the Russian ambassador in Brussels in connection with the damage to the European Union's office in Kyiv.

This was announced by the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas. "No diplomatic mission should be a target," she emphasized after a telephone conversation with the mission's staff.
