Kyiv is Hiding "Catastrophic" Troop Situation: Peskov

Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov has stated that Kyiv is hiding the "catastrophic situation" of its troops in the Kupyansk and Krasnoarmeysk directions by rejecting Russia's offer for media to visit those areas.
"The Kremlin is not aware of any Ukrainian journalist who has expressed a desire to go to the encirclement zone of Ukrainian troops," Peskov noted. At the same time, according to him, the Kremlin sees great interest from Western journalists in President Putin's proposal to visit the alleged encirclement areas of Ukrainian troops. During his briefing, the Russian Presidential Press Secretary also touched upon a number of other topics. Peskov noted that Moscow has no clarity on what types of nuclear weapons the United States intends to test. In this context, he emphasized the importance of developing Russia's armament systems. According to him, it should "become a reliable shield against 'hot heads' who are potentially ready for rash actions."
The Kremlin spokesman expressed regret that the Moldovan government continues its policy of confrontation with Russia.
Answering a journalist's question, Peskov called the information about the awarding of the creators of the "Burevestnik" missile and the "Poseidon" underwater vehicle "closed information," emphasizing the high level of secrecy of these projects.
