Death Toll from Russian Factory Blast Rises to 10

The death toll from the explosion at the "Plastmass" factory in the city of Kopeysk, Chelyabinsk region, Russia, has reached 10. The governor of the region, Alexey Teksler, reported this. 
Rescuers are working at the scene, continuing to clear the rubble, as there may still be people underneath. The fire has already been extinguished. 5 people have been hospitalized, two of whom are in the burn center. Their condition is assessed as stable but serious. Psychological assistance is also being provided to the victims and their families.
A state of emergency has been declared in the city of Kopeysk after the explosion. The governor stressed that the explosion was not the result of a drone strike. 
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has opened a criminal case on the incident under the article on violation of safety rules, which negligently caused the death of two or more people. According to the preliminary version, the incident occurred due to a violation of safety rules in the technological process.
