Kocharyan: Armenia Got "Zero" from Washington Documents

Armenia's second president, Robert Kocharyan, in a meeting with journalists, presented his assessment of the documents signed in Washington, describing them as highly unfavorable for Armenia and questioning the stability of the established peace.
According to his analysis, the parties received the following from this process:
The US got the opportunity for future control over the forming corridor and the border with Iran, and President Donald Trump got the prospect of being nominated for the Nobel Prize.
Azerbaijan received the possibility of a corridor through the territory of Armenia, the dissolution of the Minsk Group, and the repeal of Section 907.
Armenia, according to Kocharyan, received nothing. "I tried to find any specifics in those documents, zero, only problems," he noted.
Nikol Pashinyan, according to the second president, received "one picture with Trump's signature, a document with no legal force, which gives the opportunity to deceive the Armenian people one more time."
Kocharyan is convinced that what has been achieved is not peace, but a ceasefire, which depends on the mood of one person: Ilham Aliyev. "In those documents and nowhere in general are there guarantees, guarantors, mechanisms, and what will happen in case of violation," he emphasized.
Speaking about possible ways out of the current situation, Kocharyan mentioned two options. The first is to try to expand the projects with the US to obtain benefits for Armenia. If that fails, then the second option should be pursued: "One can thank Washington and say: we will build the road ourselves, it will still be called the 'Trump Way,' but control over it will be exercised by the Republic of Armenia."
According to him, this would solve a very important problem related to Iran, as American control on the border between Armenia and Iran is extremely risky for Yerevan. "Iran has 7 borders with different states, and only on the border with Armenia will Americans appear. Bravo! If anyone thinks that they are happy about this in Iran, they should be deeply disappointed," Kocharyan warned.
