This move was mutual, as on October 21, Kim's birthday, Ivanka also expressed her love for her, writing: "With love, birthday queen." Thus, they showed that political disagreements cannot hinder their long-standing friendship.

Kim and Ivanka's friendship began in 2014 when they first met at one of the most prestigious fashion events, the Met Gala. The common theme of motherhood brought them closer, and they have maintained contact ever since. Over the years, they have attended many events together, including the wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez in Venice.
