Israel Launches Ground Assault on Gaza City

Israel has begun the operation to capture Gaza City; the army has already reached the outskirts of the enclave's capital. According to the spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces, Effie Defrin, the military has already established positions on the outskirts of the city.

In the coming weeks, a mobilization of about 60,000 reservists is planned, and another 20,000 notices will be sent by the end of the month.

It should be recalled that Israel had earlier announced its plans to capture Gaza City, urging residents to leave the areas of military operations and informing them that temporary accommodation would be provided for the displaced in a safer part of the city.

UN representatives condemned Israel's actions, but this has not changed its plans.
