Israel Launches Airstrikes on Lebanon, Killing Two

On the morning of October 11, Israel carried out intense airstrikes on the southern parts of Lebanon. According to local sources, two people were killed and seven were injured as a result of the airstrikes, including two women. The highway connecting Beirut with southern Lebanon was temporarily closed. One of the dead is the driver of a vegetable truck. According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, the other victim is a Syrian citizen.

There are also Syrian citizens among the wounded. The Israeli military stated that the strike was carried out on a site where construction equipment was stored, which was to be used to restore the infrastructure of the "Hezbollah" movement. Lebanese President Joseph Aoun condemned Israel for striking civilian targets. Since the end of the 14-month war between Israel and "Hezbollah," Israel has carried out almost daily airstrikes, which have resulted in the deaths of dozens of people. Israel accuses "Hezbollah" of trying to restore its potential and justifies its airstrikes by the need to prevent this.
