Israel Kills Senior Hamas Security Chief in Gaza Strike

The Israeli Air Force has destroyed Mahmoud al-Aswad, the head of the Hamas movement's security apparatus in West Gaza. This was announced by the press service of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

"An Israeli Air Force aircraft struck and killed the terrorist Mahmoud al-Aswad, who headed Hamas's security apparatus in West Gaza," the statement said.

According to the army's press service, al-Aswad was a "key figure in the Hamas movement's security apparatus" and "served as an important source of information for the organization."
