Israel Opposes Turkish Troops in Gaza, Informs US

Israel has informed its American partners that it does not want to see Turkish troops in the Gaza Strip. This was stated by Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar in Budapest during a joint press conference with Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó.

"The countries that want to send military forces must be fair to Israel. They should not show hostility towards our country. Turkey, under Erdoğan's leadership, is taking a hostile position not only in rhetoric, but also in diplomatic and economic actions," Sa'ar noted. He stressed that for this very reason, allowing Turkish troops to enter Gaza is "reckless, and we have informed our American friends about this."

The meeting of the ministers and the press conference took place within the framework of Sa'ar's visit to Hungary.
