Israel Halts 'Freedom Flotilla' by Seizing Final Ship

The Israeli Navy has completely halted the operation of the "Freedom Flotilla" attempting to break the naval blockade of the Gaza Strip, capturing the last ship of the fleet. The vessel, named "Marinette," had fallen behind the main group of 41 ships due to technical problems. Footage released shows Israeli naval commandos from the "Shayetet 13" unit boarding the ship's deck.
This action followed the interception of the main part of the flotilla on October 2, during which Israeli forces arrested more than 450 activists from various countries, including the well-known Swedish environmentalist Greta Thunberg.
Meanwhile, one of the intercepted ships, carrying 21 foreign nationals, anchored at the port of Larnaca in Cyprus on October 3. According to a statement from the Cypriot government, the ship had requested permission to enter the port for refueling and humanitarian needs. Cypriot authorities registered all passengers and provided consular assistance.
The aim of this international initiative was to draw attention to the severe humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. Israel's actions have been widely condemned, sparking protests in various cities around the world. The Israeli side has stated that all arrested activists will be deported.
