Iran, Russia to Create Joint Maritime Shipping Consortium

Iran and Russia have agreed to create a joint maritime consortium with the aim of developing bilateral trade and economic relations. This initiative was announced by Iran's Ambassador to Moscow, Kazem Jalali, reports RIA Novosti.
The ambassador confirmed the news in a post on his X social media page: "Iran and Russia have agreed to create the first joint maritime shipping consortium."
According to him, this strategic agreement was reached as a result of negotiations held in Makhachkala on November 6-7. The meeting was attended by representatives of the authorities and large business companies from both countries.
In the near future, the parties plan to elaborate on the provisions of the agreement in detail to take practical steps.
