In an interview with Tucker Carlson, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that Tehran has never sought, does not seek, and will not seek to have nuclear weapons.
"Since 1992, Netanyahu has been arguing that Iran seeks to have nuclear weapons, and every American president has only reinforced that belief in his mind. This completely contradicts our religious laws and our religion.
We have not started wars and do not want them to continue. From the moment I came to power, my motto has been the strengthening of internal unity, and the establishment of peace and stability with neighbors and the whole world."
In the same interview, the President of Iran also noted that he too was on the list of persons declared by Israel as targets.
