Iran Hopes to Receive Russian Gas via Azerbaijan Soon

Iran's ambassador to Moscow, Kazem Jalali, has stated that Tehran hopes to begin supplying Russian gas through Azerbaijan in the near future.

According to him, negotiations with Gazprom are almost complete; it only remains to agree on the price.

Earlier, Russian Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilyov had stated that the first supplies through the existing infrastructure via Azerbaijan could begin as early as 2025, with a volume of up to 1.8 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
