Iran Declares Negotiations with US Have Failed

The Islamic Republic of Iran has officially announced the failure of the negotiation process with the United States. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, answering journalists' questions, confirmed that contacts between the two countries have not yielded any tangible results, effectively reaching a deadlock.
The head of the Iranian foreign policy department clarified that there had been an exchange of messages between Tehran and Washington. These contacts were carried out through various channels, both in a direct format and with the involvement of intermediaries. However, according to the minister, all these efforts were in vain and did not lead to the desired result. Araghchi specifically emphasized that the current situation fully confirms the assessments previously voiced by the Supreme Leader of Iran. "As the Supreme Leader said earlier, the negotiations with the Americans have reached a dead end, and the events have confirmed this," the minister stated, stressing that reality has proven the truth of the forecasts of the country's top leadership.
Referring to the reasons for the failure of the negotiations, Araghchi mentioned the unjustified expectations of the Western side. According to him, the United States and its allies had calculated that Tehran would make concessions. The threat of re-launching the "Snapback" mechanism was used as a lever to achieve these concessions. However, as the Iranian Foreign Minister stated, these threats did not affect Tehran's position, and the expected concessions did not materialize.
The high-ranking Iranian diplomat also spoke about the current state of pressure being applied against his country. Araghchi noted that the economic pressure on Iran has already reached its maximum limit. According to his assessment, no new sanctions should be expected. Nevertheless, the minister emphasized that despite the exhaustion of economic levers, Iran still faces the need to overcome the political and strategic consequences of the pressure exerted by the West.
