The port of Chabahar in the Indian Ocean will soon be connected to the national railway network of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which will be an important transformation in connecting China, the countries of Central Asia, and Afghanistan with the Indian Ocean. This was stated by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian at the 25th summit of the heads of state of the SCO member countries.
Investors will be able to benefit from various privileges and discounts for the development and creation of logistics centers in this port, he noted.
The IRI considers the implementation of the ten-year development strategy of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation as a historic opportunity to expand cooperation and invest in infrastructure projects, technology development, energy, the digital economy, climate change and ecology, culture, and science, and is ready to actively participate in the implementation of these goals, Pezeshkian noted.
