Iran, 5 Other Nations Propose UN Resolution to Ban Attacks on Nuclear Sites

Iran and 5 other countries have submitted a resolution banning attacks on nuclear facilities. This was stated by the official representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ismail Baghaei.
According to the official, Iran, together with China, Russia, Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Belarus, has submitted a draft resolution banning attacks on nuclear facilities at the 69th session of the IAEA.
"A draft resolution 'Prohibition of all types of attacks and threats of attacks on nuclear facilities and infrastructures covered by the agency's comprehensive safeguards agreement' has been submitted," he noted.
The document states that all countries can develop nuclear energy and should refrain from attacking nuclear facilities in other countries.
