IAEA chief Grossi under 24-hour Austrian protection

Due to threats from Iran, IAEA chief Rafael Grossi is under 24-hour protection by Austrian special services.

According to a source, intelligence has been received concerning a specific threat linked to Iran. Since late June, Grossi has been protected by the elite “Cobra” unit, which specializes in defending against serious threats.

It should be recalled that Iran blamed Grossi for the 12-day war, claiming that his reports on Iran’s nuclear program were biased and spread unfounded concerns about its nuclear activities.

Senior Iranian officials demanded that he be prosecuted and removed from office, while one Iranian media outlet called Grossi an Israeli spy and urged that he be arrested and executed.
