Hundreds of Rescuers Battle Wildfires in Armenia's Tavush

On November 22 and 23, the crisis management center of the Tavush regional rescue department received alerts about fires that broke out in the mountains near the "Galavino" district and in the area called "Srtni" of the Navur settlement. This is reported by the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Eight operational groups and two combat crews from the regional rescue departments and fire-rescue squads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Rescue Service responded promptly to the alerts.
It turned out that the fire broke out in the area called "Kazachi" of the Dilijan community, where 234 rescue service employees are carrying out firefighting operations; 28 employees of the eco-patrol service have also been involved in the work.
In the area called "Srtni" of the Navur settlement, 62 rescue service employees are carrying out firefighting operations; 40 employees of the eco-patrol service and 53 village residents have also been involved in the work.
