Investigation into Stabbing of Foreigner in Hrazdan Gorge Ends

The preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings initiated in the Department for Investigation of Crimes Against Persons of the General Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee regarding the infliction of grievous bodily harm to a foreign citizen in the Hrazdan Gorge on October 20, 2024, has been completed.

During the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings, it was revealed that H.Ye., during a dispute over personal matters in the Hrazdan Gorge, struck a foreign citizen with a cutting-piercing object he had with him, causing life-threatening bodily injury to the latter.

A public criminal prosecution has been initiated against H.Ye. under Article 166, Part 2, Clause 6 of the Criminal Code (Causing serious harm to health with the use of a weapon or an object or means specially prepared or adapted for causing bodily harm).

The latter is under arrest.

The criminal proceeding, along with the indictment, has been sent to the supervising prosecutor with a motion to confirm it and send it to court for substantive examination.
