The Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee has completed the preliminary investigation of a criminal proceeding initiated on the occasion of hooliganism committed by a group of persons.
During the preliminary investigation, apparent factual data were obtained that on October 5, 2025, a group of persons in cars blocked the movement of another car on Aygegortsneri Street in the Merdzavan settlement, not allowing it to continue on its way.
Getting out of the cars, a group of persons, with the direct intent to commit hooliganism, and for no reason, began to argue with the other party, exchanging blows with each other.
The group members, using profanity, showed disrespectful, and openly contemptuous attitude towards society and legal and moral norms, and also threw stones at the others.
Public criminal prosecution has been initiated against three persons under Article 297, Part 2, Point 1 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism committed by a group of persons).
Detention has been applied as a measure of restraint against one person.
The criminal proceeding, with the indictment, has been sent to the supervising prosecutor with a motion to confirm it and send it to court for substantive examination.
