History Isn't Written with an Eraser: Hilda Tchoboian

The Diaspora, and especially the Armenian community of France, feels lost. It has lost its compass as to where we are going.

Armenia needs the diaspora, but the real diaspora, not the manipulated one. On the other hand, the Armenian authorities tell us, "we don't need you." The diaspora is caught between two fires. And if Armenia does not need the diaspora, the diaspora cannot move mountains, take responsibility upon itself.

The impression is that the thirty-year history of Artsakh's independence is today being presented to the world and to Armenian society itself with the principle of a distorting mirror. It is not possible to erase history with an eraser and write a new one.
