Hamas Returns Bodies of Three Deceased Israeli Hostages

On November 2, Hamas transferred the bodies of three deceased hostages to Israel via the Red Cross. According to the press service of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the identities of the deceased were confirmed following an examination.

They are: Colonel Asaf Hamami, 40, Captain Omer Neutra, 21, and Staff Sergeant Oz Daniel, 19.

According to the Israeli side, all three servicemen were killed on the morning of October 7, 2023, the first day of the Hamas attack. Colonel Hamami was killed during battles in the Nir Yitzhak kibbutz, while Captain Neutra and Staff Sergeant Daniel were killed in other communities along the border with the Gaza Strip. After the attack, militants had taken their bodies to Gaza.

It is noted that the remains of eight other captives are still in the Gaza Strip.
