Hajiyev Explains Aliyev's Yerevan Summit Absence

Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Hikmet Hajiyev, has clarified why President Ilham Aliyev will not participate in the European Political Community summit to be held in Yerevan. Hajiyev cited two main reasons. The first is that Azerbaijan has not yet received an official invitation to participate.

"First, an official invitation for the President of Azerbaijan to participate in the European Political Community summit, which will take place in Yerevan, has not yet been received," he said in an interview with local media.

The second reason, according to him, is the current situation, which does not allow for Azerbaijan's participation at the highest level. "Under the current circumstances, we do not think that Azerbaijan's participation in this event at the highest level will be possible," the presidential aide added.
