Haghtanak Alliance Candidate: On Absolute Victory and Potential Coalitions

The candidate, who arrived at polling station 14/10 with his family, spoke to journalists after voting. Sevak Khachatryan, the "Haghtanak" Alliance candidate for Mayor of Vagharshapat, presented his team's expectations, assessments, and post-election plans, expressing confidence in their success. "There's no need for predictions, but we are heading for an absolute victory," he declared, emphasizing that their political force is not afraid of possible consequences. In response to a question about whether he fears criminal cases being initiated in the event of victory, Khachatryan assured that he has no such apprehension.

Regarding possible post-election collaborations, the leader of the "Haghtanak" Alliance noted that the issue of forming coalitions had not been discussed in advance with any political force. However, he clearly defined under what circumstances and with whom they are ready to cooperate if they do not achieve an absolute victory. "If there is no absolute victory, we will find common ground for cooperation with those forces that are in opposition," he clarified.

Furthermore, Khachatryan put forward a proposal aimed at consolidating the opposition field, stating that for them, the principle is not about holding office, but about the victory of like-minded forces. "We have declared that if any opposition force gathers even one more vote than the 'Haghtanak' Alliance, we are ready to fully support them," the speaker emphasized.

Speaking about the electoral process, the candidate noted that although he personally has no information about specific violations, there are numerous publications online regarding open voting, voter guidance, and the creation of crowds at polling stations. At the same time, he observed that compared to the 2021 parliamentary elections, there is a significant voter turnout in Vagharshapat this time.
