Man Wanted in US for Assaulting Minor Arrested in Gyumri

The Main Department of Criminal Police had received operational information that a man who had committed lewd acts against a minor in the United States was hiding in Armenia. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The US citizen had been declared wanted back in 2024 on charges of committing a crime under several articles of the Texas Penal Code.

On August 5 of this year, an international arrest warrant was issued for the man by US law enforcement. The officers of the Criminal Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, in active cooperation with the Regional Security Office of the US Embassy, undertook the task of finding the wanted person. The wanted person's last hiding place was identified. On November 5, he was found and arrested in Gyumri.

Interpol and the Prosecutor's Office have been notified of his discovery.
