GS-5 Team Wins MoD Football Championship

The final stage of the football championship, held with the participation of the collective teams of the subdivisions of the central apparatus of the Ministry of Defence, took place in the administrative complex of the RA Ministry of Defence.

RA Minister of Defence Suren Papikyan, First Deputy Minister of Defence, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Edward Asryan, other high-ranking representatives of the MOD, AF, and AF GS, and servicemen watched the games of the final teams.

As a result of a heated competition, the GS-5 team was declared the winner of the football championship of the MOD central apparatus. The second and third places were taken by the MOD-1 and GS-7 teams, respectively.

Congratulating the teams that won prize-winning places in the championship, the head of the defense department emphasized the importance of organizing such events in forming a healthy competitive spirit, discipline, and team cohesion among servicemen.

The winning teams were awarded medals, certificates of honor, sports uniforms, and cups.
