Iran Welcomes Armenia-Azerbaijan Peace Agreements

The Secretary of the Security Council of the RA, Armen Grigoryan, met with the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the IRI, Ali Larijani, during his working visit to Tehran.

The Security Council of the RA reports this. During the meeting, recent regional developments were discussed, in the context of which Grigoryan presented the agreements signed on August 8 and noted that the process of unblocking the region's economic infrastructure will take place exclusively within the framework of full respect for the principles of territorial integrity, sovereignty, jurisdiction, inviolability of borders, and reciprocity of countries.

Larijani welcomed the agreements aimed at establishing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, emphasizing the importance of ensuring stability and security in the South Caucasus.

Reference was made to the bilateral agenda between Armenia and Iran, emphasizing the need to strengthen economic cooperation.
