Georgia Welcomes Armenia-Azerbaijan Peace Agreement

Armenia resolutely supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Bochorishvili, during a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan.

In turn, the Georgian side highly appreciated Armenia's efforts in the regional peace process. "Georgia welcomes the signing of the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington on August 8," said Bochorishvili.

She emphasized that this development is of utmost importance for the entire South Caucasus. "This historic agreement is an important step towards establishing lasting peace in the South Caucasus," concluded the Georgian Foreign Minister.
