Georgia Welcomes Armenia-Azerbaijan Peace Process

President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili received the President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan at the presidential residence. The meeting focused on bilateral relations, regional security issues, and the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
As reported by the "First Channel of Georgia," during the meeting, the leaders of the two countries discussed the agenda of Armenian-Georgian relations and the prospects for deepening cooperation in various fields. The parties also touched upon the ongoing political processes in the region, emphasizing the importance of maintaining peace and stability.
Referring to the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Mikheil Kavelashvili positively assessed the efforts aimed at establishing peace. "Georgia welcomes the initialing of the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan," he noted.
The President of Georgia reaffirmed that his country continues to unswervingly support the establishment of lasting peace in the South Caucasus and is ready, as necessary, to continue contributing to that cause.
