Georgia Announces Withdrawal from Euronest Assembly Sessions

1 NOV 2025 12:56
The Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, has announced that they will not participate in future Euronest sessions. According to him, it is obvious that the European Parliament has turned the Euronest platform into a tool to blackmail neighboring countries and to forcibly impose its own narrow political agenda.
Papuashvili also added that Georgia will return to the Euronest framework only if the European Parliament creates appropriate conditions for constructive dialogue. Azerbaijan also does not participate in Euronest. Belarus's participation has been suspended since 2010.
It is worth reminding that representatives from neither Tbilisi nor Baku participated in the Yerevan session of the structure held this week.
