General Javani: Pashinyan and Aliyev repeat Zelensky’s fatal mistake

Deputy Political Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, General Sardar Jauani, has stated that Trump has tricked Aliyev and Pashinyan.

"It is obvious that Iran, Russia, and India will not remain silent in the face of this destructive event. If President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Prime Minister Pashinyan of Armenia had thought even a little about the consequences of their decision to involve the US, Great Britain, and NATO in the Caucasus region, they would not have been tricked under any circumstances by the gambler Trump.

Ignoring the realities of the Caucasus and the interests of other countries in the region, they, under the influence of promises from the US, the Zionist regime, and a number of European countries, took an adventurous step for their countries. These two have committed the same mistake as Ukrainian President Zelenskyy.

The naive president of Ukraine, thinking that NATO membership would bring a bright future to his country, led his nation down the path of destruction. If Zelenskyy had paid attention to the fact that in Russia's security concept, the borders of the former USSR are considered red lines for security, he would never have subjected his country to an invasion by the Russian army.

Zelenskyy's strategic mistake led to heavy and irreversible losses for the country and people of Ukraine, and the future of that country remains uncertain in many respects, including from the point of view of territorial integrity and sovereignty.

It is surprising that Ilham Aliyev and Pashinyan not only did not learn lessons from the war between Russia and Ukraine and did not understand why that war began, but also committed the same mistake, which could have similar consequences for them and their countries.

Both Azerbaijan and Armenia are, in a certain sense, considered Russia's security borders, and, accordingly, the Russians will never tolerate the presence of the US and NATO in any form and under any name within their security borders.

Their mistake is much more serious than the mistake of the President of Ukraine. Zelenskyy, with his strategic mistake, only provoked the Russians and turned them against him.

However, the actions of the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia in the White House, who, by signing an agreement, gave the Americans the exclusive right to create the Zangezur corridor for 99 years, have turned several important countries of the region against them.

Iran, the RF, the PRC, and India, each in its own way, assess the handover of the Zangezur corridor to the US as openly contradicting their national interests. It is obvious that these countries will not remain silent in the face of this destructive event for the region, and each will defend its interests and security in one way or another.

The statements by Dr. Velayati, the international affairs advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, as well as the position of the RF MFA, testify that the dream of an American presence near Iran's northern borders, as well as in the geography of Russia's national security, will never come true. Some of Velayati's statements contained a completely clear message for the leaders of both Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as for the US.
