Freight Carriers' Concerns on the Agenda

For the last two days, the three checkpoints on the Armenian-Georgian border have been paralyzed: truck drivers blocked the roads, protesting against a new Russian law. The drivers note that this restriction threatens their work, as they are often forced to wait for weeks at Verin Lars. The issue was also raised in the National Assembly by the opposition, which accuses the government of inaction. Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan announced that the topic is already being discussed with the Russian side and concrete solutions may be found at the EAEU meeting on October 24.
