Ahead of the active season of acute respiratory infections, the Ministry of Health has acquired the quadrivalent influenza vaccine and distributed it to all primary health care organizations. This is reported by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia.
"Regardless of registration, all citizens can be vaccinated for free at a polyclinic or ambulatory.
To avoid complications from the flu, it is especially recommended for citizens in risk groups (pregnant women, children from 6 months to 5 years old, the elderly, people with chronic diseases, medical workers, employees and beneficiaries of closed institutions) to get vaccinated.
As a result of laboratory tests conducted last week within the framework of the sentinel epidemiological surveillance system, no influenza virus pathogens have been detected in our country. Among other respiratory infections, pathogens of rhinovirus, parainfluenza, adenovirus, metapneumovirus, and coronavirus disease SARS-CoV-2 have been observed.
The Ministry of Health reminds that the best way to not get sick with the flu, as well as to avoid complications, is vaccination," the statement said.
